Parish Committees

Building and Grounds Committee

Building and Grounds individuals with electrical, plumbing, carpentry or building experience advise or assist the maintenance and janitorial staff. They conduct a semi-annual review of the buildings interiors and exteriors and parish grounds. They meet semi-annually and are available for consultation and emergency meetings.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee oversee the communications tools used and efforts implemented at St. Patrick's. Areas of responsibility include our weekly parish bulletin, monthly newsletter, facebook, and this website. This committee also hosts our monthly Bunfest. Committee members include: Steve, Figi (chair), Carl Jankowski, Amy Panzer, Peter Panzer, Paul Fellenz, Kathy Fellenz and Cathy McClone, Jon Zeininger and Bill Schultz. Jeanne Hesprich and Joyce Naps serve as staff laisons.

Religious Education Advisory Program (R.E.A.P.)

This committee is the driving force behind Faith Formation Programming. Committee members are involved in all aspects of Parish Faith Formation - Children's Liturgy of the Word, Children's Faith Formation Classes, Youth Faith Formation Classes, Adult Faith Formation Programming, and Intergenerational Programing. Cheryl Stinski is staff laison.

Finance Council

The Finance Council meets on the first Wednesday of each month to review and oversee the finances of the parish including fundraising. They also prepare the annual budget. Members of this committee include: Father Paul Radetski, Carl Jankowski, Colleen Sargent-Day, David Mooney, Sarah Brightwell, Eden Foord, David Jordan and Trustees Bill Rohrer and Bob Loomis.

Christmas Tree Sale Team is a sub-committee of the Finance Council which quarterly to plan and implement St. Patrick's Christmas Tree sale. This committee, along with many tree sale crew workers make this family-friendly, intergeneraltional ministry a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and raise funds for St. Patrick's Parish.

Octoberfest Team - St. Patrick's participates in Appleton's Octoberfest. Octoberfest is held on the last Saturday in September. This sub-committee of the Finance Council meets to plan this fun-filled annual event. Commiteee members include Al Cleveland, Rick Eisenach and Nancy Pennings.

Parish Events Committee

The Parish Events Commitee plans and implements nine parish events including six parish Fish Fry's. They also host our August Corm Roast to welcome new parishioners, Septeber Lasagna Feast and our annual Christmas Sweet Cookie/Candy Walk on the first weekend in December. Members of the Parish Events Committee are: Denise Meyers (chair), Erv Becker, Ron Callan, Sue Callan, Pat Gilbert, Diane Huston, Cathy Endres, Deanna Krueger and Mary Jane VanLieshout. Joyce Naps is Staff Liason.

Parish Pastoral Council

The St. Patrick Parish Council is committed to helping live out the mission statement of our parish. Our purpose and objectives as stated in our constitution are:

o To call forth a vision of the church – the people of God.
o To develop a spirit of prayer among the council members and to model Christian leadership.
o To listen and respond to the needs of the people.
o To serve as a major instrument of communication, planning, evaluation and pastoral renewal of the parish.
o To gather the necessary data before making recommendations for the administration of the parish.
o To develop and maintain a mission statement which embraces the total life and mission of the parish:
o To work jointly with the parish team and committees to make the parish truly a community of faith.
o To fulfill the directives of the Norms for Parish Pastoral Councils of the Diocese of Green Bay.

Parish Council Members are: Tom Skibba, chairman; Patricia Waldrop, Cathy McClone, Leah Marker, Don Whitehouse, Mary Plaisance, Judy Piel, John Kingston, Tom Lager, Rod VanderHyden, Morgan Harm and Trustees Bill Rohrer and Bob Loomis.

Respect Life Committee

The Respect Life Ministry exist to educate and raise awareness in our parishes (and beyond) of the dignity and sacredness of every human being from comception to natural death. This is a collaborative effort of all five Neenah-Menasha parishes. We meet the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at St. Patrick's Parish Center. Prior to each monthly meeting, we pray the Rosary for Life in St. Patrick's Church at 6:00 pm.

The Respect Life Committee has sponsored an annual Change for Life baby bottle campaign and an annual Mother's Day Rose Sale. Proceeds are given to Wisconsin Right to Life for women in crisis pregnancies and for needed supplies for babies and their moms. We also write and distrbute a quaterly newsletter entitled Life Matters!

We seek to inform and educate on such life issues as abortion, stem cell research, euthanasia, capital punishment and chastity before marriage. In October of 2009, Green Bay's Bishop David Ricken accepted our invitation to speak on the sanctity of life. Afterwards, the Respect Life Committee hosted a reception in St. Patrick's Geenen Hall for all attendees. Bishop Ricken did the honors of cutting a special birthday cake for all born and unborn babies.

In March of 2010, Don Derozier, Ph.D., was invited to speak on Pope Paul's Humane Vitae.

Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee promotes social and economic justice through the church, and serves the parish as a catalyst for the work of Social Justice. Social Justice is the work of every baptized person and is the means by which we change policies, structures, and institutions so they work on behalf of the common good. The committee seeks to identify, formulate and implement Catholic social principles in areas of public policy and conflict involving the poor and powerless and lends support to persons or groups that work for the achievement of a more just and compassionate society.

Stewardship Committee

St. Patrick's has been a Stewardship Parish since 1994. The Stewardship Committee oversees the Stewardship effort at St. Patrick's. This effort include our Stewardship of Ministry process, our Stewardship of Finance process and our Stewardship of Prayer process. Members of the Stewardship Committee include: Fr. Paul Radetski, Fr. Larry Canavera, Tom Lager, chairperson, Steve Figi and Karin Lager. Joyce Naps is staff liason.

Liturgy Committee

The Liturgy Committee serves to assist and enhance St. Patrick's liturgical celebrations throughout the Church year according to the scripture of each particular Sunday, the liturgical seasons, and our own parish customs. This includes preparing and beautifying the sanctuary for worship, tending sacramental vessels, altar hangings and linens, preparing for special worship and prayer opportunities and music selection. The committee coordinates the ministries of the sacristans, hospitality ministers, extraordinary ministers of Communion, lectors, environment and music. The committee is made up of parish staff involved in liturgical matters as well as parishioners who share a love of the liturgy. The Liturgy Commitee meets on the second Monday of every moth at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to join us.
